We arrived ten mts earily and we were advised table would be ready in few mts...sure enough it was only few minutes.

Total adherence to sanisatation on entrying Restaurant also very evident Socially spaced tables and Perspex Screens making diners feel very safe and comfortable.

We were greeted and shown to our table by Sinead a lovely Hostess.

We decided to have appetisers we went for House Nachos they were just beautiful topped with salsa cheese spring onions guacamole sour cream and jalapenos.

Main course two of us went for Signature House 10oz Beef Burger

One went for PorterHouse Style Sweetly spiced Chicken Fajitas with chips and no wraps.

One went for Sirloin Steak Med to Rare

Our meals arrived quickly excellent service 4servers in a row so efficient and adhering to WHO and HSE guidelines visors on all servers .

We were all delighted with our choices.

My beef burger had cheddar cheese smokey bacon cos pineapple lettuce tomato chileslaw onion rings and garlic sauce it was just divide the taste melted in my mouth.

The Fajitas arrived sizzling on a platter also cheese /salad/ sour cream /guacamole /salsa dips and chips beautiful presentation.

The Steak was accompanied by sauteed onions mushrooms fries homemade onion rings lovely presentation .

We all eat definitely enjoying every morsel.

It's so satisfying to have beautiful food served to one a treat I can still taste it.

Only one went for dessert the Birthday Boy but we all sampled it Cheesecake with 3toppings it was georgeous 

I would highly recommend The PorterHouse Excellent Food Fantastic Staff Great Value .Do remember to book well in advance with food of that quality they are very busy.

Dessert being so full only one went for build a cheesecake which had 3toppings crushed /crushed Oreo Kinder Bueno

Today was my first time driving to Killarney, before we would have used public transport. The waiting staff were so attentive, kind and welcoming.

My Mum has mobility needs and this were catered for when we arrived. I only booked last night, so I was even more thankful.

Food was amazing! I had lasagna and Mum had the beef lunch special. Lots of lovely food, and they offered to put everything we didn't eat into a takeaway box, there was so much that I was hard to eat all in one sitting. 

As it was my first time driving through Killarney, I asked for instructions to other places and they were very informative and helpful. I would definitely recommend and we will definitely return. read less

The staff were so friendly and... read moreTook a chance here late one evening for dinner with 3 friends, got a table after a couple of minutes wait which was perfect. The staff were so friendly and welcoming from start to finish, I can’t praise them enough. The place itself is lovely inside, with each table in a private booth. We got chicken wings and nachos for starter, steak sandwich and the veggie curry for main course and the vegan sundae for dessert. Everything was absolutely perfect and we were impressed with their range of veggie/vegan options. Would highly recommend! read less

We were shown to a nice table and given a time limit (less than current covid allowances) on our table. We knew we were both ordering steak so had to skip starters to make sure we didn't run over time which was unfortunate as they all looked amazing. The steak was super and the accompaniments were great. We both ordered the cheesecake although they were out of some toppings but it was still delicious.

In terms of COVID19, there was a staff member at the front door at all times, a one way system to enter and exit, we were invited to use the hand sanitiser as we entered, disposable menus in use, all staff wearing visors/masks, cutlery and napkin came in a sealed pouch and no sachets of sauce being passed from table to table, also social distancing is definitely being catered for too.

So, thumbs up to the porterhouse for the efforts against COVID19 and making the experience enjoyable for everyone.

Will definitely return. read less
